Ananta Hejeebu, Partner
Ananta co-founded Howard Tech Advisors, and brings 30 years of sales and leadership experience to our team. He leads our sales, marketing and community engagement activities.
Prior to launching Howard Tech, Ananta worked as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Workspace.com, where he was involved in raising venture funding, developing marketing strategies, and leading global sales efforts. Ananta also served as Vice President of Global Accounts with F5 Networks, which grew from startup to a publicly traded, billion-dollar firm during his eight-year tenure. He was employee #7 at F5, and acquired the company’s first customers. His early career included working with the Southwestern Company and as an officer in the US Army 18th Airborne Corps.
Ananta has served our community as a member of the Howard County Board of Education, as an elder at Grace Community Church, and on the boards of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Howard County, Community Foundation of Howard County, and the Salvation Army. His favorite volunteer activity has been coaching more than 30 youth sports teams over many years in football, basketball, lacrosse and field hockey.
Ananta earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and his MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Ananta grew up in Baltimore City and now lives in Marriottsville with his wife and three children.
Patrick Higgins, Partner
Patrick co-founded Howard Tech Advisors, and brings more than 20 years of enterprise technology expertise to our team. He is our technology visionary, helping our team and clients think ahead.
Before launching Howard Tech, Patrick served as Senior Network Administrator with Clark Construction, one of the oldest and largest construction firms in the United States. Patrick designed and implemented the network systems and architecture to support construction/design teams working on projects in excess of $1 billion. His team was responsible for Clark’s main data center in Bethesda, MD, and the company’s disaster recovery site on the west coast.
Before working at Clark, Patrick worked for ten years as the District Systems Administrator for Iron Mountain, a leading provider of document management solutions. Patrick was responsible for all technology in the Washington, D.C. region, a business unit producing more than $10 million annually.
Patrick studied at Radford University and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Patrick is a Howard County native, graduating from Glenelg High School. He now lives in Catonsville with his wife and three children.
Jason Maeser, Director of Onboarding
Jason joined Howard Tech Advisors in 2013 and brings more than 15 years of technology experience to the team. He has served in multiple roles during his tenure and currently leads new client on-boarding efforts and other special projects.
Before joining Howard Tech, Jason worked for SBI Technologies, a Columbia, MD, defense contractor. Joining SBI in 2010 as the IT Manager, Jason managed the day to day IT needs of over 250 users. During his tenure at SBI, Jason re-engineered the entire IT infrastructure including a data center relocation, server rebuilds, physical to virtual server migrations and more.
Jason is a lifelong resident of Howard County, graduating from Long Reach High School and stays active in the community. From Habitat for Humanity, to the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, Jason remains committed to the success of Howard County and the businesses and people within.
Jason eaerned his Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and now lives in Laurel with his wife. Read more about Jason.
Paul Glagola, Director of Client Relations
Paul joined Howard Tech in 2018, bringing over 20 years of technology, business development and team-building experience. He leads our account management team, focused on driving maximum business value for our clients.
Prior to HTA, Paul spent almost 18 years with Columbia-based JPB Partners as Vice President of Technology. Paul led the technology efforts of private equity investments for JPB which included, Davis Inotek Instruments, ZIPS Dry Cleaners, and Greene Turtle Restaurant. While with JPB Partners, Paul hired Howard Tech to provide IT services in 2009 and has had a great working relationship with us ever since. Earlier in his career, Paul worked for Unisys Corporation as a financial services consultant.
Paul spent 7 years as an assistant football coach at the University of Virginia. He serves as President of the Board of the National Football Foundation/College Football Hall of Fame, as well as on the board of the Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association.
Paul earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the RH Smith School at the University of Maryland. Paul grew up in Frederick County, and moved to Howard County in 1998. He currently resides in Ellicott City with his wife and 3 kids, and remains involved in youth sports.
Danielle Richards, Director of Managed Services
Danielle joined Howard Tech in 2020 with more than 20 years of IT leadership and team building experience. She leads our service delivery team, ensuring world-class customer service and technical support.
Prior to joining the team, Danielle served 9 years with Connecture Inc. as the Director of Federal Contracts supporting Software as a Service programs for the Department of Health and Human Services. She has also led managed service teams providing Help Desk, Applications, Hardware, Software Development, Q/A and Network support as the IT Client Services Director for Bowne Business Solutions and IS Service Manager at Maxim Healthcare Services.
Danielle earned her BA from the University of Michigan and is ITIL and PMP certified. She relocated to Maryland in 2007 and currently resides in Ellicott City with her husband and two children where she is active in community outreach.
Mike Blair, Director of Project Services
Mike joined Howard Tech Advisors in 2015 and brings more than 20 years of IT, project and leadership experience to the team. He leads our project team to deliver best in class network infrastructure, server, and cloud solutions.
Prior to HTA, Mike spent 16 years with UPS in the industrial engineering department as a technology manager. He also worked as a data analyst and quality control specialist for Amazon, during the planing, executing and opening of their Baltimore distribution center.
Mike has served on the board of the Baltimore Herb Festival for the last 15 years and is the archivist for his neighborhood. He lives to serve his community and neighbors to build a better Baltimore. When not working, he loves to cook, garden, and create art.
Mike studied Management Information Systems at Salisbury University. He is a Baltimore City native and attended John Carroll High School in Bel Air. He lives in Baltimore City’s Dickeyville neighborhood with his wife.
Tina Orlandi, Director of Operations
Tina joined Howard Tech in 2018 and brings over 25 years of accounting, HR, and management experience to the team. She manages all finance, human resources and operations functions at HTA.
Prior to joining Howard Tech, Tina was Financial and HR Director at Cathedral Stone Products. She managed the company’s financial operations, HR, and project coordination. Tina is meticulous to detail, is extremely process-driven and always yearns to simplify with new technology.
As an avid organic gardener, Tina enjoys spending time outdoors and supporting other gardeners at the local farmers markets. Tina has lived in Howard County for over 20 years. She has served her community through many different organizations, including leading a Girl Scouts troop for 13 years and supporting the Ellicott City community in recovering from the 2016 and 2018 floods.
