Ananta Hejeebu, Partner

Ananta founded Howard Tech Advisors and brings more than 25 years of leadership experience to our team.

Prior to launching Howard Tech, Ananta worked as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Workspace.com, where he was involved in raising venture funding, developing marketing strategies, and leading global sales efforts. Ananta also served as Vice President of Global Accounts with F5 Networks, which grew from startup to a publicly traded, billion-dollar firm during his eight-year tenure. He was employee #7 at F5, and acquired the company’s first customers. His early career included working with the Southwestern Company and as an officer in the US Army 18th Airborne Corps.

Currently, Ananta serves on the boards of Leadership Howard County, Howard County Chamber of Commerce, and as an elder at Grace Community Church. He has previously served on the Community Foundation of Howard County, Salvation Army boards and is a long-time Howard County youth sports coach.

Ananta earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and his MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Ananta grew up in Baltimore City and has lived in Howard County since 1994.

Patrick Higgins, Partner

Patrick co-founded Howard Tech Advisors, and brings more than 20 years of enterprise technology expertise to our team.

Before launching Howard Tech, Patrick served as Senior Network Administrator with Clark Construction, one of the oldest and largest construction firms in the United States. Patrick designed and implemented the network systems and architecture to support construction/design teams working on projects in excess of $1 billion. His team was responsible for Clark’s main data center in Bethesda, MD, and the company’s disaster recovery site on the west coast.

Before working at Clark, Patrick worked for ten years as the District Systems Administrator for Iron Mountain, a leading provider of document management solutions. Patrick was responsible for all technology in the Washington, D.C. region, a business unit producing more than $10 million annually.

Patrick studied at Radford University and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Patrick is a Howard County native, graduating from Glenelg High School, and now lives in Catonsville.

Jason Maeser, Director of Service Delivery

Jason joined Howard Tech Advisors in 2013 and brings more than 15 years of technology experience to the team.  Jason leads our service delivery team, ensuring top notch customer service and technology recommendations for our clients.

Before joining Howard Tech, Jason worked for SBI Technologies, a Columbia, MD, defense contractor. Joining SBI in 2010 as the IT Manager, Jason managed the day to day IT needs of over 250 users. During his tenure at SBI, Jason re-engineered the entire IT infrastructure including a data center relocation, server rebuilds, physical to virtual server migrations and more.

Jason is a lifelong resident of Howard County and stays highly active in the community. From Habitat for Humanity, to the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, Jason remains committed to the success of Howard County and the businesses and people within.

Jason graduated from Long Reach High School in Columbia. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2005. Read more about Jason here.

Paul Glagola, Director of Strategic Relationships

Paul joined Howard Tech in 2018, bringing over 20 years of technology, business development and team-building experience.

Prior to HTA, Paul spent almost 18 years with Columbia-based JPB Partners as Vice President of Technology.  Paul led the technology efforts of private equity investments for JPB which included, Davis Inotek Instruments, ZIPS Dry Cleaners, and Greene Turtle Restaurant.  While with JPB Partners, Paul hired Howard Tech to provide IT services in 2009 and has had a great working relationship with us ever since.  Earlier in his career, Paul worked for Unisys Corporation as a financial services consultant.

Paul spent 7 years as an assistant football coach at the University of Virginia. He serves on the Board of the National Football Foundation/College Football Hall of Fame as President, as well as on the board of the Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association.

Paul earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the RH Smith School at the University of Maryland.  Paul grew up in Frederick County, and moved to Howard County in 1998. He currently resides in Ellicott City with his wife and 3 kids, and remains involved in youth sports.

Matthew Story, Operations Manager

Matt joined Howard Tech in 2011 and brings his background in service management and IT to the team.  Matt leads the operations side of things, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Prior to joining Howard Tech, Matt worked with DC Web Designers as the Director of Business Development and in-house IT support, where he replaced the company’s entire IT infrastructure. His early career began with 11 years in the restaurant industry as a regional trainer and general manager for several national chains. He made the leap to IT as an implementation specialist for MICROS Systems, Inc., a leading point of sale and enterprise information system software for the retail and hospitality industries.

Matt studied music education and performance at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Matt has lived in Howard County since 2005.  Yes he is a Steelers fan, however we don’t hold it against him. Learn more about Matt here.

 Mike Blair, Project Manager

Mike joined Howard Tech Advisors in 2015 and brings more than 20 years of technology and leadership experience to the team. Mike leads our project team, deploying new infrastructure solutions and serving as technical escalation point for our services team.

Mike joined Howard Tech from Amazon, where he served as data analyst and customer escalation specialist. Mike previously served as an infrastructure manager for another IT services firm, and spent more than 10 years at United Parcel Service. His last role at UPS was as technology support group business manager, focused on process improvement, budget accountability, and management development.

Mike has served on the non-profit board of the Baltimore Herb Festival for the last 12 years and has been an active member in his community, serving from President to Committee Chair. Mike is also an accomplished wood turner and gardener.

Mike studied Information Systems Management at Salisbury University’s Purdue School of Business. He is a Baltimore City native and continues to live and actively volunteer there. Read more about Mike here.
