Our mission is to build community – with clients, partners, vendors and our broader neighborhood. The COVID-19 pandemic has heightened and increased many needs for basic items within our Howard County community. Our newest team member, Danielle, initiated an ongoing donation drive in our office to give back locally. The grassroots organization, Columbia Community Care, was created to support those struggling during this crisis. They are managed by a growing number of volunteers and supported by donations from businesses, organizations, and individuals.
In our office, weekly reminders are sent to encourage our HTA team members to pick up extra items during their shopping trips to donate in the office collection boxes. Items include non-perishable foods, personal hygiene items, diapers, house cleaners, children’s crafts/activities, and school supplies. Thus far, Danielle has graciously delivered two trunk loads of donations to the local CCC site. While the need is still high, HTA is trying to help give back and contribute with our ongoing donations.
We encourage you to donate, or volunteer, as a business team or family to support our local community members through CCC or another organization doing good, especially in this time of crisis. We thank those who are helping and contributing in many ways to keep these initiatives going. Every little bit helps!
