In April, we welcomed 2 new team members – Dan and Paul! We also wished one of our core team members the best of luck in his next adventure.
Although Paul Glagola is the newest face in the office, he has had a close relationship with Howard Tech since 2009 as his previous company is a client. He joined our team in April 2018 as Director of Strategic Relationships.
Paul brings over 20 years of technology, business development and team-building experience. Paul spent almost 18 years with Columbia-based JPB Partners as Vice President of Technology. Paul led the technology efforts of private equity investments for JPB which included, Davis Inotek Instruments, ZIPS Dry Cleaners, and Greene Turtle Restaurant.
Paul spent 7 years as an assistant football coach at the University of Virginia. He serves on the Board of the National Football Foundation/College Football Hall of Fame as President, as well as on the board of the Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association.
Paul earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and his MBA from the RH Smith School at the University of Maryland. Paul grew up in Frederick County, and moved to Howard County in 1998. He currently resides in Ellicott City with his wife and 3 kids, and remains involved in youth sports.
Dan joined us this month, as well, as a Service Engineer. Prior to HTA, Dan worked for a local company in CAD programming and IT management. He is looking forward to joining Howard Tech to “become a better IT technician, as well as the chance to work for what is clearly a wonderful company.”
His proudest accomplishments include, purchasing a home with his wife a couple years ago. Dan is also an Audio Engineer who has proudly worked with some of the best and most talented musicians in Maryland and beyond. Besides audio engineering, outside of work Dan also plays the drums. He is a Baltimore Ravens fan and enjoys spending time and taking pictures of his dog, Lucy.
Best wishes, Manny!
After nearly 4 years in a variety of leadership roles, Manny Baylor has accepted a role as Director of Technology at Project Chesapeake. He kindly gave us plenty of notice, and we are sending him into the world with our best wishes. We also expect him to return to the HTA family one day! Manny has served our clients well, often late into the evening or during weekends and always with a friendly, servant spirit. He has epitomized our culture and we will greatly miss him.
