Meet Matt: Our Chesapeake Enthusiast

Matt is on our field service team. He goes on-site to work with our clients on service tickets and ongoing projects. He has been working on an ongoing project upgrading a whole lot of computers for a client. Matt was nominated this month for being knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to learn. Even our customers think he’s “a treat.” Learn more about Matt here.

At my previous job…

I was a level 2 Technical Support Analyst. I was excited to join Howard Tech to work with local businesses and expand my technical knowledge. Now that I’m here, I love the people!! Everyone is so awesome and supportive! I enjoy learning and working with everyone as a team.

I’m in to technology because…

I enjoy challenges and meaningful work.

I am very proud that…

I finished college and bought a townhouse.

Some of my favorite things include…

Playing guitar, reading, Netflix, video games, the Orioles, The Office, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and Steve Howe of Yes.

I could not live without…

Bread.

My favorite gadget is…

The “Phone” app. [In a slight sarcastic tone.]

One skill I wish I had is…

The ability to build a house.

My favorite motivational quote is:

“To thine own self be true” – Shakespeare

A funny family story is…

I used to catch crabs in the Chesapeake Bay via crab traps with my grandpa.  My grandma would go to cook them in a big pot and sometimes they would jump out and skitter across the floor and she would freak out trying to catch them.

A cause I am passionate about is…

Mental health.

I’d like to learn how to…

Solve 2 rubix cubes at the same time under 15 seconds.

If I won the lottery, the first thing I would do is…

Make sure my family was taken care of.

If I could be any fictional character, I would be…

Daniel Craig as James Bond.

The last experience that made me a stronger person was…

Burning my tongue this morning on hot coffee.  Need to learn patience.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

An enlightened monk.  To see how they act and handle life.
