We grew a lot this year! We on-boarded some of our largest clients to date. At the same time, we welcomed our acquired hourly services, now called “Technical Services,” company Micro Performance, Inc. Some of those technical services client have transitioned over to Managed Services.
We welcomed 6 new Howard Tech Team Members this year, including Michelle, Kane, John Lebo, Joshua, Keith, and John Kim. Our hiring efforts continue as we prepare for an exciting 2018 with plans to expand our service offerings. Here are some of our latest internal team changes, including the introduction of a new role.
New Technical Account Manager Role
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) will be somewhat similar to the Field Engineer role in the light that each client will have a dedicated individual. However, the TAM will be less of a support resource on service tickets and more of a strategic IT planner. This will provide greater value to our clients for keeping documentation of systems and hardware up-to-date, maintaining network performance reports, plan for large IT projects, brainstorming new initiatives, assist with future technology planning to help save money and improve efficiency.
The TAM will visit our clients on-site, either regularly or as needed for new short term and long term projects. These visits are not meant to be for resolving tickets. Our Service Engineer Team will continue to support your clients, either remotely or on-site as needed.
Our first Technical Account Manager, Joshua Moody, was hired this month! He has already hit the ground running visiting clients. Here is some more info on Joshua and our other new team members:
Joshua joined our team this month as our first TAM. Previously, he spent 19 years at Search Ministries wearing many different hats, including Director of Publications and IT Technology. Joshua graduated from Taylor University receiving his degree in Computer Science and attended Dallas Theological Seminary. Him and his wife live in Howard County with their 4 sons and very large puppy-at-heart.
Some of you may have already had the pleasure of talking to Keith Singh. He joins us from another IT service provider in our HTG Peer Group community. He has lots of experience with working remotely to support clients, with the same tools we and our clients use. This has made for such a smooth transition!
Our newest team member, John Kim joins us as a Service Engineer. He has always been interested in technology since he started gaming. It eventually grew into something he could see as a career. John is a fan of the Ravens and Orioles, and enjoys golfing, hiking, and cooking. John’s favorite quote: “Surround yourself with people who have dreams, desire and ambition. They’ll help you push for and realize your own.”
We are continuing to grow!
