Out in the Community: August 2017

Prepare for Success School Supply Drive

This month, we all pitched in to help Prepare for Success, in partnership with Community Action Council and Howard County Public School System, in their annual drive to help over 2,500 Howard County students be prepared for the 2017-2018 school year. We delivered our donated school supplies to the warehouse on August 18th and were blown away at the number of volunteers, including Susan Appletree and the others pictured here, and supplies that community members have donated. Howard County Autism Society’s One Step Closer Walk and 5k

Please join us at the at the Howard County Autism Society’s 11th annual One Step Closer Walk and 5k! Our team, Sam’s Squad, will be representing not just our internal team but all of our clients. Most of the Howard Tech staff will be there with their families and would love for you to join us the day of the event, Saturday, October 7th at 9 a.m. at Centennial Lake Park. We will have a tent before, during and after the walk/run with lite food and beverages.

We have set a fundraising goal of $5,000 and if we reach that goal before October 7th, we are going to deliver Ananta’s favorite pie, Chocolate Mousse, right to his face! You don’t want to miss that, do you?! Join us for the walk, the run, the cheering squad or in our fundraising efforts. Or just simply join us for a cup of orange juice!
